Since 1957, Mr. Fessel has been a distinguished member of the Real Estate and Probate Bar in the State of Rhode Island. His technical mastery of title standards serves as invaluable advice to the firm, its clients and the Title Standards Committee of the Rhode Island Bar.

Born in 1929, a graduate of Harvard Law School (1954) and Brown University (1951), Mr. Fessel emigrated to the United States in 1937 from Berlin, Germany in order to escape Nazi persecution. Following service in the United States Army (1955-1956), in 1957 Mr. Fessel was admitted to the Rhode Island Bar. He quickly developed his reputation and skills as amongst the area’s leading real estate practitioners. In 1981, Mr. Fessel merged his law practice with Mr. Goldman’s, which, as Fessel & Goldman, became one of the most preeminent real estate law firms in Rhode Island.

Mr. Fessel resides in Barrington, Rhode Island with his wife Bette Ann. He is the proud parent of two grown children and three grandchildren.
