Mr. Sowa draws upon more than two decades of experience advocating for clients in resolving disputes and as a trial lawyer representing individuals and businesses in civil litigation including: personal/catastrophic injury, wrongful death, employment, education, discrimination, insurance, contract, and otherwise. Mr. Sowa has successfully represented clients in civil jury trials in both state and federal court, in addition to earning favorable results before a variety of administrative bodies, including the Commissioner of Education, the Department of Labor & Training, and the Department of Children, Youth & Families. He has also achieved frequent success and generated strong results for his clients through Alternative Dispute Resolution processes, such as mediation and arbitration.
Mr. Sowa is admitted to practice law before all Rhode Island Trial Courts, the Rhode Island Supreme Court, and the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. He also enjoys the privilege of admission before the United States First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island, Mr. Sowa obtained his Bachelor of Arts from Boston College in 1994 and his Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law in 1997. Mr. Sowa is a member of the Rhode Island Trial Lawyers Association and recently served on the Roger Williams University School of Law Alumni Board of Directors. He currently resides in Tiverton, Rhode Island with his wife and their four children where he actively coaches youth basketball and baseball.
